MANILA, Philippines — American pop icon Taylor Swift dominated the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs), which aired live on November 10 from Manchester, UK. Swift took home multiple awards, including Best Video for her hit “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone, as well as Best Artist, Best Live, and Best US Act.
Emerging artist Tyla also made a splash, winning her first MTV EMAs with awards for Best Afrobeats, Best R&B, and Best African Act. Notably, BINI made history as the first Filipino artist to win Best Asia Act at the EMAs.
The show opened with a breathtaking performance by Benson Boone, who played a golden grand piano while suspended in the air, enchanting the audience with his songs “Slow It Down” and “Beautiful Things.”
