MANILA, Philippines — Ji Chang-wook and Kim Hyeong-seo, better known as Bibi, are set to reunite in the highly anticipated Disney+ Korean series “Gangnam B-Side.”
The series features Jo Woo-jin as Kang Dong-woo, an ex-detective ostracized by his family and friends after exposing corruption among his fellow officers. Forced to rebuild his life in a rural area, his world is turned upside down when his daughter’s friend goes missing. Desperate to save her, he plunges back into a world of drugs, exploitation, and danger.
Bibi stars as the runaway Kim Jae-hee, while Ji Chang-wook takes on the role of back-alley enforcer Yoon Gil-ho. Completing the main cast is Ha Yoon-kyung, known for her roles in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” and “Hospital Playlist,” who plays prosecutor Min Seo-jin.
Directed by filmmaker Park Noo-ri and written by screenwriter Joo Won-kyu, “Gangnam B-Side” promises to be a gripping series.
Ji Chang-wook, renowned for his performances in “The Worst of Evil,” “Empress Ki,” “Suspicious Partner,” “The Queen Woo,” “Healer,” and “The K2,” recently visited the Philippines for a fan meet at Araneta Coliseum, following a previous event at Mall of Asia Arena in August 2022.
Jo Woo-jin, known for his roles in “Chicago Typewriter,” “Narco-Saints,” “Happiness,” and “Warrior Baek Dong-soo,” will next appear in the movie “Harbin” alongside Hyun Bin.
