BLACKPINK’s Jennie has made a sensational comeback with her new single, “Mantra,” captivating audiences worldwide. The song quickly soared to the top of the UK’s Official Singles Chart, marking the highest position ever achieved by a female K-pop soloist. This overwhelming fan reception underscores Jennie’s immense popularity.

On October 19, 2024, the Official Charts, akin to the U.S. Billboard Charts, revealed that “Mantra” debuted at number 37, setting a new record for female K-pop soloists. Previously, Jennie’s bandmate Jisoo held the record with her solo debut track “FLOWER,” which peaked at number 38 last year.

“Mantra” also went viral on social media and dominated iTunes charts globally, securing the number one spot in 47 countries, including the U.S., Brazil, Singapore, Mexico, and the Philippines. It is the only song by a female K-pop soloist to top the U.S. iTunes chart in 2024.

Jennie debuted with BLACKPINK in 2016 alongside Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé, and the group quickly rose to global fame. Jennie was the first member to launch a solo career, releasing the hit single “SOLO.” In 2023, she released “You & Me,” which she first performed during BLACKPINK’s BORN PINK world tour, followed by a performance video.

Additionally, Jennie collaborated with BLACK B’s Zico on the track “Spot,” which topped South Korean charts. She also made her first entry into the Billboard 100 with her feature on “One of the Girls.
