TNT Tropang Giga Aim for 3-0 Lead in PBA Governors’ Cup Semifinals
The TNT Tropang Giga are determined to maintain their dominance in the PBA Governors’ Cup semifinals against Rain or Shine. Coach Chot Reyes emphasized the importance of keeping the pressure on, saying, “We cannot take our foot off the pedal.”
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and his teammates are set to face the Elasto Painters in Game 3 at Dasmarinas Arena in Cavite this Sunday. With a 2-0 lead, Reyes is focused on anticipating Rain or Shine’s adjustments and continuing their aggressive play.
The Tropang Giga secured their lead with a 90-81 win in the opener and a 108-91 victory in the second game. Another win will bring them closer to the finals, a stage they reached by defeating Barangay Ginebra in 2023.
Reyes attributes their success to strong defense, stating, “There’s nothing special in what we’re trying to do except starting the second half with renewed determination on defense. If we make stops, it fuels our offense.”
Coach Yeng Guiao of Rain or Shine is now focused on playing, competing, and winning, urging his team to apply the lessons learned from the first two games.
