Terrafirma Looks to Build on Last Season’s Success
As the PBA Season 49 Governors’ Cup kicks off, Terrafirma is eager to make a statement against Converge. Led by coach Johnedel Cardel, the Dyip have strengthened their roster with key additions like Christian Standhardinger, Stanley Pringle, and Brent Paraiso. The return of Kevin Ferrer from injury also provides a significant boost.
Despite the positive changes, Cardel remains cautious, acknowledging the need for team chemistry to develop. The addition of import Antonio Hester, who replaced injured Brandon Edwards, adds another layer to the Dyip’s lineup.
Converge Aims for a Fresh Start
Converge, under the interim leadership of Franco Atienza, is also looking to make a strong impression in the new season. With a talented roster featuring Justin Arana, Alec Stockton, Bryan Santos, and more, the FiberXers have the potential to challenge for a playoff spot.
The addition of experienced import Scotty Hopson is expected to provide a scoring punch and help the team avoid last season’s struggles.
