PBA 3×3: Meralco determined to rule Leg 4

MERALCO seeks to add another jewel to its brilliant collection in the PBA 3×3 Season 3 Third Conference as Leg 4 rolls out Monday at the Ayala Malls Makati Circuit.

Enjoying their best conference in the pro league, the Bolts won the first and third legs to snap a drought dating back to the Second Conference of Season 2.

With renewed confidence and momentum on their side, Meralco’s Alfred Batino, Joseph Sedurifa, Jeff Manday and JJ Manlangit set out for an encore from their third-leg triumph last week.

Patrick Fran’s crew take the first step to this mission in the race for two quarterfinal tickets in Pool A where they’re up against heavyweight Cavitex and dangerous Terrafirma.

“We have to stay disciplined, hungry and focused,” said Sedurifa.

The Bolts can write a new franchise best of three legs win in a single conference if they can pull it off again in Leg 4.

Meanwhile, TNT’s bid to regain its winning ways after two seventh place finishes and a runner-up in Leg 3 continues.

Top gunner Almond Vosotros returns to the lineup after missing the Triple Giga’s silver run last week. He joins third-leg holdovers Gryann Mendoza and Chester Saldua and fellow returnee Samboy de Leon as TNT initially vies in Pool B versus Pioneer Elastoseal, NorthPort and Blackwater.

Denied of its back-to-back last week, Leg 2 ruler MCFASolver trains its sights on becoming a two-leg winner instead. The Tech Centrale are pitted against San Miguel Beer, Barangay Ginebra and Purefoods in Pool C.

Pool games start at 10 a.m.

The top 3 teams in Pools B and C will join the Top 2 in Pool A in the KO rounds set for Tuesday. (OL)
