Jordan Heading Leads Converge to 4 Straight Wins in PBA Cup

Jordan Heading has been instrumental in Converge’s rise as a formidable contender in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup. His dual role as a scorer and playmaker has led the FiberXers to four consecutive wins, boasting a 6-2 record.

“Our record is what I care about,” Heading remarked after being named the PBA Press Corps-Pilipinas Live Player of the Week for Dec. 17-25.

On Christmas Day, Heading delivered an impressive performance with 30 points, eight rebounds, and six assists, leading Converge to a 110-94 victory over Meralco at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

This victory extended Converge’s winning streak, which began with triumphs over the NLEX Road Warriors, Phoenix Fuel Masters, and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. Heading, a left-handed guard, averaged 19.5 points on 51% shooting, along with 4.3 rebounds, 7.8 assists, and 1.5 steals, earning him the weekly honor.

“I’m grateful to the coaching staff for trusting me with the ball, and I take that responsibility seriously,” Heading said.

While Heading has been a key player, Alec Stockton’s crucial role in the comeback win against Ginebra and Justine Baltazar’s emergence as a strong rebounder and defender have also contributed to Converge’s success.
