TNT Tropang Giga Seek Redemption vs. Converge FiberXers in PBA Philippine Cup

FiberXers second test for Triple Crown-chasing Tropang 5G

After dominating the season’s two import-reinforced tournaments, the TNT Tropang Giga face a tougher challenge as they pursue a historic PBA Triple Crown. Without Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, the team struggled in their PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup opener, falling 74-91 to the NLEX Road Warriors.

Their next test comes against the Converge FiberXers, a well-balanced squad led by Justin Arana, Justine Baltazar, Alec Stockton, and Schonny Winston. The FiberXers (2-2) pose a serious threat, especially with TNT still adjusting to life without Hollis-Jefferson and injured veteran Jayson Castro.

Team manager Jojo Lastimosa emphasized the need to prove they can win without their former import: “These guys must show they’re capable without Rondae—this is their biggest opportunity.” While the Tropang Giga remain focused on the Philippine Cup, they’re avoiding Grand Slam talk to ease pressure.

Can TNT bounce back against Converge? The clash tips off at 7:30 PM at Ynares Sports Center, Antipolo.
