JEFF Cariaso refuses to be carried away by Blackwater’s finest PBA start in five years.
The soft-spoken coach stressed there’s still a lot of work to be done and certainly it’s not the time for the Bossing to lower their guards.
“So far it’s a good start. We’re staying humble, we’re staying focused because we know how quick things can turn. So we’ll just continue working hard,” said Cariaso.
Blackwater notched a third straight win in the Philippine Cup behind a 90-78 win over Converge to stay on top of the standings.
It’s the best start in a conference for the Bossing since winning their first four games during the 2018 Governors’ Cup.
But this should not propel Blackwater from a sense of complacency, according to Cariaso.
“Just keep pushing. We’ve been here long enough to understand how quick things turn for you. We want to maintain the good things that we’re doing now and then we want to improve on the things we feel we have to improve on, and there’s still a lot,” he said.
Blackwater returns to action after a week’s break as it tangles with NLEX next Wednesday at the Philsports Arena. (RG)
