MANILA, Philippines — Comedian Pokwang recently shared the joyful news that she is now a grandmother.
During her interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Pokwang was asked about her love advice for her daughter Mae. She advised Mae to take care of her heart and then sought Mae’s permission to share a special announcement.
With Mae’s consent, Pokwang revealed she has a four-year-old grandson. “Tito Boy, I have a grandchild. I’m a lola and it’s another blessing,” she said.
Pokwang expressed her pride and joy, describing her grandson as “super cute” and “super smart.” She shared her hopes to live long enough to see him grow up. According to Pokwang, Mae became pregnant during the pandemic.
“I always told her, just graduate and I’ll be happy. She followed my advice despite the challenges,” Pokwang said. Mae graduated from Enderun Colleges with a degree in Culinary Arts.
Pokwang praised Mae for her achievements and responsible behavior, expressing her happiness upon learning about the pregnancy. “I was so happy, I didn’t get angry or blame her,” she added.
