Jordan Heading Joins Converge: A Key Acquisition for the FiberXers

Coaches Franco Atienza, Charles Tiu, and Rajko Toroman recognize the significance of Jordan Heading for Converge. The team successfully acquired Heading from Terrafirma in exchange for guard Aljun Melecio, Keith Zaldivar, and a first-round pick in Season 51. Heading, who was the first overall pick in the Season 47 Gilas Special Draft, never played for the Dyip. Instead, the talented Fil-Aussie showcased his skills overseas in Japan, Taiwan, and Australia, known particularly for his exceptional outside shooting.

With Heading’s addition and the upcoming arrival of No. 1 rookie pick Justine Baltazar—who will join Converge after Pampanga’s MPBL campaign—the FiberXers are set to enhance their roster depth. This comes after their playoff appearance in the recently concluded Governors’ Cup.

Previously, Heading was part of the Gilas Pilipinas pool and had a notable stint with the West Adelaide Bearcats in the NBL1 last season, where he averaged 15.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists. This strategic move positions Converge for greater success in the upcoming season.
