Enrique Gil Open to Reunion Project with Kathryn Bernardo

MANILA, Philippines — Enrique Gil has expressed his openness to reuniting with Kathryn Bernardo for a new project. During an interview at the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival awards night on December 27, Enrique mentioned that while there are no current offers, he is willing to work again with his “Princess and I” co-star. The 2012 romance-fantasy show featured Kathryn and Enrique as young stars in a story about a fictional kingdom searching for its long-lost princess in the Philippines.

Enrique, who recently became a film producer with his company Immerse Entertainment, stated, “I’m always open to anything, of course.” He emphasized that he is not closing the door on love team projects, saying, “I’m not saying goodbye. I think there’s a time and place for everything.”

Currently, Enrique is focusing on exploring different genres. “I want to try new concepts and characters. I’m just having fun,” he added. He shared his excitement about producing various genres, including comedy and horror. His recent production, “I am Not Big Bird,” is a comedy, and he has plans for traditional and meta-style horror films, as well as action horror.

Enrique also expressed interest in producing more comedies and dramas in the future. “I have a team to help with drama concepts. My passion lies in comedy and horror, and I’m looking forward to exploring action as well,” he concluded.
