MANILA, Philippines – Filipino stars Alden Richards and Julia Barretto are set to headline the Philippine adaptation of Thailand’s highest-grossing film, Pee Mak, a beloved horror-comedy-romance originally starring Mario Maurer.
This marks the first on-screen collaboration between Alden Richards and Julia Barretto, generating excitement among fans. The project is a joint venture between Viva Films and Myriad Entertainment, Alden’s multimedia production company.
Pee Mak holds the record as the highest-grossing Thai movie of all time, making this Filipino remake highly anticipated. The official contract signing between Viva Group’s Vic del Rosario and Alden Richards of Myriad Entertainment was recently completed.
Meanwhile, Myriad Entertainment’s debut film, OOO (Out of Order), starring Alden Richards and Heaven Peralejo, is set to premiere soon on Netflix, further expanding Alden’s growing influence in the entertainment industry.
